Dr. Jeffrey Bewley has worked in dairy science for much of his
life—including an extensive tenure as Recordkeeper and Milkhand at his
grandfather’s Skees and Flowers Dairy operation in Rineyville, Kentucky.
Much
of Bewley’s career, to this point, has been spent as part of the academic
community—both as a dairy science researcher and as professor at the University
of Kentucky (2008-2017). Bewley has formerly held positions with such firms as Bovisync
(Jan.-Jul. 2018) and PerforMix Nutrition Services (2003-2004).
Currently, Dr.
Jeffrey Bewley works in two official capacities:
- Consultant/Partner at CowFocused Housing (since
Dec. 2017), and
- Dairy Housing and Analytics Specialist at Alltech (since Jul. 2018).
He also maintains a number of active memberships with
professional dairy science organizations. These include:
- National Mastitis Council (since 2012)
- American Dairy Science Association (since 2003)
- American Dairy Science of Professional Animal
Scientists (since 2003)
- American Dairy Science Association Editorial
Board (since 2014), and
- National Mastitis Research Council Research Committee (since 2013).
